Why Choose an Acoustic Box Pool Pump Enclosure

Imagine coming home after a long day, ready to unwind, only to hear the constant hum of your pool pump. For many pool owners this noise is a frustrating part of daily life. But it does not have to be. With the right solution you can reclaim your peace and quiet while protecting your valuable pool equipment.

Enjoy a Quieter Poolside Experience

The Acoustic Box is engineered to reduce equipment noise by up to 80%, transforming the sound of your pool pump from a constant annoyance to a distant background hum. Whether you are entertaining, relaxing by the pool or simply unwinding after a long day - a quieter backyard makes a real difference.

Protect Your Investment

Pool equipment is a significant investment and exposure to the elements shortens its lifespan. Acoustic Box enclosures shield your pump and filter from harsh weather, UV exposure and potential damage. Made from 100% Australian-made BlueScope steel and coated with thick Dulux powder coat, these enclosures are built to handle the Australian climate and keep your equipment in top condition for the long term.

Designed with Convenience and Durability in Mind

Quick assembly - the Acoustic Box can be assembled in as little as 15 minutes.

Front access and gas struts - full front access and a top lid on gas struts means the enclosure opens effortlessly and stays securely in place. No struggling with heavy lids or support bars.

Optimised ventilation - ventilation gaps allow airflow and accommodate wiring and conduits, keeping your equipment running without overheating.

Why Choose an Acoustic Box?

Noise reduction - up to 80% reduction in equipment noise.

Premium materials - 100% Australian-made 0.9mm galvanised BlueScope steel with thicker acoustic foam than other products on the market.

Powder coated for longevity - durable Dulux powder coating keeps the enclosure looking new and resists weathering.

7-year warranty - confidence in quality backed by a 7-year warranty.

NSW sound regulation compliance - meets strict sound compliance standards, making it ideal for urban areas.

What size do I need?

Choosing the right size comes down to your equipment footprint. Measure your equipment including any pipes and connections, then allow approximately 50mm clearance on width and depth and 45mm on height for internal fit.

1100mm wide - suits a standard single sand filter and pump. The most common setup for residential pools up to approximately 50,000 litres.

1350mm wide - ideal for larger sand filters or setups that need a little more room around the equipment for access and airflow.

1650mm wide - suits larger filter setups with additional equipment or plumbing runs that need clearance.

1828mm wide - where you start to see heat pumps, larger filter systems and more complex multi-equipment setups. Popular for pools with heating systems.

2028mm and 2228mm wide - built for the most demanding residential configurations. Multiple pumps, spa blowers, heat pumps and full equipment trains.

Installing on different surfaces

The Acoustic Box suits most common surfaces including concrete, pavers and timber decking. For grass or soil a concrete pad or paver base is recommended before installation - moisture and uneven settling can affect the enclosure over time. Regardless of surface, ensure the base is level before positioning to allow the lid and front access to operate correctly.

What about heat pumps?

Heat pumps have specific ventilation requirements that differ from standard pump and filter setups. Before enclosing a heat pump, always confirm airflow requirements with your heat pump manufacturer - inadequate ventilation can void your warranty and reduce efficiency.

For heat pump installations we recommend adding a louvred door or grilled panel to your enclosure order to ensure adequate airflow while still containing noise.
